Lecturer: Bojana Košnik Čuk, "the mother of Slovenian protocole", is an internationally recognized expert in the culture of behavior, as well as business and diplomatic protocol, with nearly 30 years of experience.
PROGRAM
Rules of modern European etiquette: new trends, male-female relationships, private life, and the return of romance.
Simple formulas for navigating dilemmas or awkward situations in behavior.
Time management: acceptable delays, social events, private gatherings, first dates.
The "right side" and "proximity" rule: where a woman should walk in relation to a man, rules on kissing and hugging.
Entering spaces: elevators, staircases, streets, opening doors in male-female interactions.
Assisting a woman: helping with her coat, walking under an umbrella, opening car doors.
Body language: non-verbal cues, reading between the lines, signs of deception.
Introductions and addressing others: formalities, proper handshakes, informal vs. formal language.
Greetings: obligation or courtesy, making a positive first impression.
Titles and names: "Mrs.," "Miss," "young gentleman," etc.
Digital etiquette: phones, email, and online manners.
Practical tips: chewing gum disposal, smoking etiquette, lighting a cigarette.
Table manners: who enters and exits a restaurant first, proper use of cutlery, rules for romantic meals.
Wine etiquette: tasting, avoiding snobbery, and appropriate behavior during meals.
Special occasions: receptions, weddings, concerts, birthdays.
Gift-giving culture: flowers, ties, perfume, and jewelry.
Sitting etiquette: for men and women; placement of handbags and briefcases.
Travel and sports events.
Participants will refresh their knowledge of modern etiquette and culture of behavior, gaining tools to confidently navigate private and social situations, especially in relationships between men and women.
The program encourages active involvement, includes a 30-page handout, and ensures access to further advice after completion.
